What are the Needs?
There are some children whose parents do not have enough finances to send their kids to school, as their parents are illiterate and work for daily wages. Even their work is seasonal. If the demand is less they do not get hired for the day and they must fast for the day. In consideration of this situation we are planning to support these kids, providing them with education, food and Spiritual growth.
We want to provide them with study materials (i.e. school books, pens, pencils, etc.) Most of the parents cannot afford to pay their fees and the kids are forced to go to work instead. We’d like to bring them to one place and teach them.
In India, 17 million children are laborers. A combination of factors such as lack of a government school in the village, unemployed parents, low wages, gender and caste-based discrimination contribute to this situation.
