Job Description

At CNA’s Chicago Corporate Office, we are looking for an experienced paralegal with insurance expertise to support regulatory filings, research and general corporate matters. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare documents to be filed with regulatory agencies such as Departments of Insurance and state Secretary of State offices. Prepare board‑of‑directors related materials, certifications and related documents upon request. Conduct legal research, including automated legal research services, to resolve legal questions. Provide analysis of reports and research findings as requested. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Required In‑depth knowledge and application of legal research and the insurance industry. Strong internal and external customer interaction skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other business software systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional phone etiquette. Education & Experience Required Completion of an accredited paralegal program (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Minimum five years of paralegal experience and three years of insurance experience. Familiarity with the UCAA application processes is a plus. Compensation In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this position is $47,000 to $78,000 annually. Salary is determined by experience, skills, certifications and location.
