Position Description

Future Fence Company, founded in 1979, is the largest installer of commercial fence in the state of Michigan and is focused on future growth. Our team of skilled craftsmen build some of the Midwest's most interesting ornamental architectural metal products for bridges, buildings and streetscapes out of a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, stainless and bronze.

Position Summary : Reporting to an Installation Foreman the Fence Installer is responsible for assembling and installing fences according to client specifications and local building codes.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Install different types of fences, including wood, vinyl, chain link, and ornamental aluminum fencing.
  • Prepare the installation site by clearing debris and ensuring proper measurements.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively and safely
  • Conduct heavy lifting as required to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Position Requirements

Qualifications / Education:
  • Previous experience as a fence installer or similar role in the construction industry, preferred.
  • Equipment Operation experience, preferred.
  • A valid Class A CDL with air brake experience, preferred.
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time and lift 60 pounds.
Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor conditions - varies based on jobsite.
  • Environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
