Job Description Corporate Security Systems Support Manager Overview: As part of our Corporate Security function, this position will lead the enterprise service, support, maintenance, and operational reliability of physical security systems across the organization. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Security Systems, the role will partner with site security teams, Facilities, IT, Procurement, business stakeholders, and external security integrators to ensure access control, video management, visitor management, intrusion detection, and related security technologies operate consistently, securely, and at scale. This leader will manage a small team of contract personnel and vendor resources, establish service standards, drive preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise physical security systems. This is a site-based position located at Gilead’s corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and continuously improve enterprise service level agreements, support standards, escalation paths, and performance metrics for the Corporate Security Systems Team. Own the day-to-day operational support model for physical security systems, including access control, video management, visitor management, intrusion detection, turnstiles, alarms, and related field devices. Lead preventive maintenance, break-fix, lifecycle replacement, and system health monitoring programs to reduce downtime, improve reliability, and maintain a consistent user experience across sites. Partner with local site contacts, Corporate Security project teams, Facilities, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure each site has a documented support plan, clear ownership model, and reliable incident response process. Coordinate and prioritize workload for internal support resources, contractors, and vendors to balance capacity, resolve issues promptly, and meet agreed service levels. Manage security integrator performance, including work quality, response times, documentation, commissioning, testing, warranty support, and completion of maintenance activities. Maintain accurate system documentation, asset inventories, device records, drawings, service history, warranty information, and operational procedures. Ensure support personnel receive appropriate training on system platforms, troubleshooting procedures, customer service expectations, safety protocols, and documentation requirements. Provide clear, professional communication to stakeholders during incidents, outages, maintenance windows, and escalations. Use data and reporting to identify recurring issues, recommend improvements, manage vendor accountability, and inform leadership on system performance and operational risk. Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for physical security systems, operations, maintenance practices, and enterprise support strategy. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting physical security systems in a corporate, campus, regulated, or enterprise environment. Expert working knowledge of access control, video management, visitor management, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, intercom, and related physical security technologies. Experience with CCURE, Milestone, and TDS is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of service operations, including ticket management, preventive maintenance, break-fix support, service level agreements, escalation management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Proven ability to manage security integrators, contractors, and vendors to deliver timely, high-quality maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and documentation. Experience leading or coordinating technical teams, contract personnel, or cross-functional resources in a fast-paced operational environment. Ability to partner effectively with Corporate Security, Facilities, IT, Procurement, site leadership, and business stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones. Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to use metrics, reports, asset inventories, and service history to improve reliability and reduce operational risk. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. High attention to detail and sound judgment when managing system access, sensitive information, operational procedures, and security-related incidents. Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands with minimal supervision. Strong customer service mindset with the ability to set expectations, resolve issues professionally, and build trust with site teams and business partners. ASIS certification such as PSP, CPP, or APP is preferred; project management or security technology certifications are a plus. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience. The salary range for this position is: $136,340.00 - $176,440.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
