Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing/Communications Manager to lead the development, execution, and oversight of our internal and external communication efforts. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, and relationship-driven professional who excels at storytelling, brand management, and multi-channel communication. The successful candidate will strengthen our brand presence, elevate team member engagement, and support organizational initiatives through clear, consistent, and compelling messaging. The wage range for this position is $1,700.00 to $2,500.00 per week. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that advance organizational goals and strengthen brand identity.
  • Partner with leadership to define key messages, target audiences, and standards for consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Coordinate internal communications to ensure alignment, clarity, and timely dissemination of information.
  • Oversee the creation, management, and distribution of content across print and digital channels, including social media, websites, blogs, brochures, banners, posters, advertising, and email campaigns.
  • Manage the organization's social media presence, ensuring consistent branding, tone, and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics, adjusting strategies to maximize reach, visibility, and audience engagement.
  • Lead or support the development of internal communications-memos, letters, announcements-ensuring alignment with brand standards and organizational voice.
  • Produce visually compelling communication materials that enhance storytelling and reinforce brand identity.
  • Proactively collaborate with internal markets and business units to capture photos, videos, and stories that highlight team members, project milestones, and achievements across The Cianbro Companies.
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage sensitive or high-risk situations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and related materials to support organizational visibility.
  • Manage media inquiries and serve as the organization's spokesperson when appropriate.
  • Track and analyze media coverage, providing regular insights and reports to leadership.
  • Supervise and mentor the internal media services team and manage relationships with external creative and media partners.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • 5 years of relative knowledge and experience in a similar position with at least 2 years in management.
  • Experience in media and public relations, communications, marketing and journalism preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring tools, social media platforms, content management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, Illustrator).
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow knowledge of cutting-edge media tools to reach and capture the attention of our target audience.
