Reporting to the Associate Director and the Operations and Human Resources Manager, the Junior Paralegal provides comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys across multiple practice groups. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Responsibilities Assist with deposition, arbitration, and trial preparation, including coordinating logistics and supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. Travel with case teams to provide on-site trial support for both local and nationwide matters. Take ownership of assigned matters and provide direct support to attorneys. Assist with training and mentoring entry-level legal support staff as needed. Support attorneys with filing preparation and electronic filings in California state and federal courts. Coordinate service of pleadings and motions. Cite-check, Bluebook, proofread, and format briefs, motions, and other legal documents. Monitor court dockets and obtain pleadings and filings as needed. Assemble and distribute materials for hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings. Maintain and update case files, contact information, and litigation databases. Draft routine correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and third parties. Organize, review, and manage documents, transcripts, and production sets using document management platforms. Conduct legal and factual research and assist with due diligence projects. Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and cross-references. Assist with notarizations, apostilles, and document authentication. Process vendor invoices and assist with billing-related requests. Prepare responses to auditor letter requests. Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in-office / 1 day remote) Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 2 years of paralegal or comparable legal support experience in a law firm. Experience supporting litigation matters, including California state and federal court procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail, proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems. Willingness to become a Notary Public within six months of hire, if not already commissioned. Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Ability to travel for trial support.
