Bergen County Law Firm is expanding again, due to business growth and needs to hire Family Law Paralegals to support Attorneys in domestic relations cases like divorce, child custody, and adoption by drafting legal documents, organizing discovery, and managing client communications. Job Duties Drafting: Write pleadings, motions, and agreements. Discovery: Organize financial papers and lists of assets. Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact to gather information and provide case status updates. Case and Calendar Management: Maintain court deadlines, schedule hearings or mediations, and handle electronic court filing (e-filing). If you have experience doing the following, you can be molded for an Entry-level position Screening Inquiries : Answering calls, emails, and web forms Gathering Information : Writing down names, contact info, timelines, and basic facts Scheduling Appointments : Setting up first meetings between Data Entry : Putting new details and notes into a database or CRM system Job Requirements Experience: Typically requires 3 to 10 years of specific New Jersey family law experience (But will mold an entry-level candidate with the required degree stated) Education: Paralegal Degree or Certificate. Preferred skills: New Jersey court rules knowledge and legal software proficiency. Gentle Validation : By listening and showing strong care for sensitive client needs.
