Eligibility To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements: Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee Enrolled at least half‑time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (first‑semester students may apply) Possess a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN) Maintain valid Visa status, if applicable In good disciplinary standing Located within the United States Eligible to work in the U.S.; Federal Work‑Study students may apply (optional) Summer is the only semester that permits employment without enrollment; applicants during summer must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester What You’ll Do Collaborate with faculty and students on recording sessions, delivering high‑quality performances Demonstrate excellent sight‑reading and improvisational skills across contemporary musical styles (Jazz, Big Band, Popular Music) Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to studio etiquette, ensuring smooth and efficient sessions Manage your time effectively: arrive prepared and log hours accurately Bring necessary instruments and materials as requested, and be prepared to switch between instruments if applicable What You Bring Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a valid SSN Excellent sight‑reading skills Strong organizational and time‑management abilities Willingness to work evening hours (typically 5:30PM–12:00AM, depending on instrument) Good communication skills and a collaborative spirit Reference to all applicants must attend an audition Not a resident assistant unless pre‑approved by a supervisor What You’ll Gain Advanced level session‑musician skills and prior recording experience Hands‑on experience recording music with top‑notch musicians and Berklee faculty Opportunities to work directly with industry professionals Development of technical and creative session‑musician skills Valuable connections and networking opportunities in the music industry Compensation Hourly Rate: $20.60 Hiring Manager Nick Stevens #J-18808-Ljbffr Berklee College of Music
