Your Team, Your ImpactThe Cloud Platform Optics team builds highly integrated component platforms with high-speed Silicon photonics, transmit and receive amplifiers, controller ASIC’s with Marvell DSP’s. These components are made operational with a highly functional embedded firmware. The team is responsible for design, verification, and validation of these integrated high speed optical components. The team performs system level testing under various operating conditions, and validates the performance of the hardware, firmware and control loops. An engineer in this team will be involved in a full product lifecycle and will carry new products from inception all the way to NPI.What You Can ExpectWe are seeking a motivated and talented Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of electrical hardware design and development, with a keen interest in developing platform solutions for the AI market. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical hardware for optical modules and other AI platformsCollaborate with senior engineers to define hardware requirements and specificationsPerform hands-on testing and debugging of hardware components using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and signal analyzerParticipate in hardware validation and verification, including debugging and troubleshootingHelp develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMsWork closely with manufacturing teams to support the production and assembly of hardware componentsWhat We're Looking ForQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience or Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-3 years of experience or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degreeStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practicesFamiliarity with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Allegro, OrCAD)Proficiency in using lab equipment, with a good understanding of electrical measurement and testing methodologiesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesEagerness to learn and adapt to new challengesPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity in using firmware for board level communication and scriptingBasic knowledge of power management, high-speed signal and power integrityFamiliarity with industry standards and protocols related to DCI technologyUnderstanding of thermal management and EMI/EMC considerations in hardware designExpected Base Pay Range (USD)108,220 - 162,100, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
